One of the best books I have ever read and he seemed a really lovely man in any interview I have seen of him.

He found it difficult to reconcile the fact that his life peaked at the age of 18-19

RIP, if my dad was still alive he would probably say he was prepared to give his life for our country . Then he would say something like ....look at the shambles of a country we have after thousands of lives lost in two world wars.
